Meet the Los Angeles Team Behind Penhallow Remodeling Los Angeles
Remodeling work in Los Angeles is different than anywhere else. We deal with 1920s Spanish bungalows in Highland Park, mid-century post-and-beam homes in the hills, and stucco boxes in the Valley that have been added onto three times since 1962. The crew we’ve built understands that. Every person who walks through your door has been background-checked, shows up in uniform, and carries the same commitment: a written price before any work starts, a clean job site every evening, and a finished product that holds up. Trevor Nash runs the operation, but the people below are the ones swinging hammers, setting cabinets, and keeping your project moving.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People

Marcus D. – Senior Installer
Marcus has been setting cabinets and hanging doors across Los Angeles for 14 years. He apprenticed under a finish carpenter in Pasadena who made him plane door edges by hand for a full year before he was allowed to touch a router. He specializes in tricky kitchen layouts, the kind where the walls aren’t square and the floor slopes half an inch over eight feet. Marcus is certified in KraftMaid and Wellborn cabinet installation, and he’s the person we send when a client wants inset doors with tight margins. Outside work, he restores old vent windows on 1960s Ford trucks in his garage in Eagle Rock.
Sofia R. – Lead Technician, Bathrooms
Sofia has been doing bathroom remodels for 11 years, and she’s seen what happens behind enough cracked shower pans to know that the waterproofing layer matters more than the tile you pick. She handles tub-to-shower conversions, custom curbless showers, and anything involving a second-story bathroom where water intrusion means damage to the ceiling below. Sofia is trained in cement board substrate work and full waterproof membrane systems, whether we’re using Schluter Kerdi or a traditional hot-mop under tile. She is a Kohler and Moen certified installer, which matters because the fixture warranty often depends on proper installation. She keeps a running list of the strangest things found inside old Los Angeles bathroom walls, and she’s willing to share it on site.
Dana K. – Service Coordinator
Dana is the voice on the phone when a homeowner calls with questions about scheduling, product lead times, or what to expect on day one of a project. She joined us five years ago after working in cabinet sourcing, so she understands the difference between a stock shaker door and a custom paint-grade panel. Dana tracks material deliveries, confirms the arrival window the night before, and keeps clients updated if a countertop fabrication shop in Burbank runs behind. She’s the person making sure that when we tell you the Cambria slab is in, it’s actually in. When not juggling schedules, she volunteers at an animal rescue in Culver City, and she will find a way to mention it.
Leo T. – Apprentice
Leo is two years into his apprenticeship, and he’s training under both Marcus and Sofia depending on the project mix. He came to us from a pre-apprenticeship program after spending a summer doing earthquake retrofit foundation bolting, which gave him a healthy respect for structural work before he ever touched a tile saw. Leo handles the less glamorous parts of the job that actually matter, which is to say jobsite protection, daily cleanup, and material staging. He’s learning to spot the difference between a wall that can be opened and a wall that’s holding the floor up. Since day one, he’s matched our uniform and background check standard, same as everyone else.
One Standard, Every Job
Every Penhallow Remodeling technician in Los Angeles works under the same standard that’s guided the Kingswell family of companies since 2004, a standard we call The Kingswell Way. It is simple enough to state, and it means something on every project: say the price before the work, in writing. Show up in the window we gave. Leave the place cleaner than we found it. Put a written guarantee on the finished job. When something doesn’t hold up inside the 365-day window, we come back and fix it at no charge. Every one of our crew members carries that promise, not because it’s written in a manual, but because it’s the only way Trevor has ever wanted to run a remodeling company in Los Angeles. Each Penhallow location is independently owned and operated, and this is the Los Angeles crew standing behind the work.
