Jerith Kitchen Remodeling: The Los Angeles Owner’s Guide
If you have Jerith kitchen components that are failing, a full Jerith kitchen remodeling project in Los Angeles typically runs $16,520 to $53,100 installed, depending on cabinet line, countertop material, and layout changes. We stock and install Jerith-compatible hardware and replacement parts, and most parts swaps that don’t require structural work can be scheduled within a few business days. Most homeowners discover the problem the same way: a drawer front comes loose in their hand, a hinge snaps mid-swing, or a cabinet box starts pulling away from the wall after years of daily use.
We’re an independent Los Angeles remodeling contractor. We’re not affiliated with Jerith, but we’ve worked with their cabinet and component lines for years, and we know which parts interchange, which don’t, and when a part swap makes more sense than a full replacement.
Which Jerith Models This Applies To

Jerith kitchen components fall into a few broad categories: cabinet boxes and face frames, drawer slides and glides, door hinges (typically concealed or semi-concealed European-style), and hardware like pulls, knobs, and soft-close mechanisms. The compatibility gotcha most Los Angeles owners run into is this: Jerith drawer slides changed mounting-hole patterns around 2016. Cabinets built before that often used a 32mm offset slide, while newer boxes use a 45mm mount. If you order slides by model number alone, you can end up with a slide that won’t line up without drilling new holes, which weakens the cabinet side over time.
The easiest way to identify what you need: pull the drawer out and look for a stamp on the slide itself. Most Jerith slides have a two-letter prefix followed by a four-digit number. Take a photo of it before you order anything. For hinges, measure the cup diameter (usually 35mm on Jerith) and check the overlay, which is how far the door covers the face frame. OEM Jerith parts are solid, but several aftermarket equivalents from Blum and Grass fit Jerith cup holes without modification and cost 20 – 30% less. We stock both on the truck when we’re doing a parts swap in Los Angeles.

Signs Your Jerith Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- Drawer front pulls loose from the box. The screws holding the front to the drawer box have stripped out of the particleboard or MDF. This is the most common Jerith failure we see in Los Angeles homes, especially in kitchens without air conditioning where summer humidity cycles the wood.
- Soft-close drawer slams shut. The damper inside the slide has worn out or the catch clip broke. On Jerith slides, the damper isn’t serviceable as a standalone part on most post-2012 models, so the whole slide gets swapped.
- Hinge lets the door sag or rub the frame. The hinge cup has loosened in its bored hole, or the internal spring has failed. A sagging door will eventually crack the corner of the face frame if it isn’t corrected.
- Cabinet box separating from the wall. The upper cabinet was never hit into studs, or it was hung on drywall anchors. We see this in older Los Angeles kitchens where a previous owner did a quick flip or a handyman hung cabinets without a level.
- Laminate or veneer peeling at the sink base. Water intrusion from a slow sink leak or garbage disposal overflow has swelled the substrate. Once the panel starts to de-laminate, the fix is a new cabinet box, not a patch.

Every price we give in Los Angeles is written, not verbal. You get a line-item scope before any work starts, and the number on day one is the number on the invoice. That’s the Kingswell standard we’ve held since 2004. Parts and labor are separated on the quote so you know exactly what the Jerith-compatible component costs versus the time to install it. And every repair carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it fails inside a year, we come back and make it right at no charge, in writing on every project.
DIY or Call Us?
Some of this work is genuinely safe to do yourself. A loose drawer pull or a stripped hinge screw is a five-minute fix with a toothpick, some wood glue, and a screwdriver. If the drawer slide itself is bent or the damper is shot, swapping it is usually two screws and a slide-out, as long as you’ve matched the mounting hole pattern we covered above.
But if a cabinet box is pulling off the wall, stop. Upper cabinets can weigh 80 to 120 pounds loaded. When they let go, they come down hard. That’s not a drill-and-pray situation. Hitting studs, checking for plumbing and electrical in the wall, and getting the box level and square is a job for someone who does it every week. FAQs

Drawer slides and hinges typically last 12 – 18 years in Los Angeles kitchens, but the real variable is humidity. Homes without air conditioning see more particleboard swelling and earlier laminate failure near the sink. Cabinet boxes that stay dry can easily last 30 years or more.
Yes. Stripped screws, worn slides, sagging hinges, and loose face frames are all repairable. The replacement line is when the substrate itself has swelled or de-laminated from water, or the box has pulled away from the wall and damaged the frame. We’ll tell you honestly which side of that line you’re on. Call (213) 277-6578 and we’ll walk you through it.
A single hinge or slide swap takes under an hour on site. Replacing all hardware on a 20-door kitchen is usually a half-day job. Replacing a cabinet box typically takes one day, including removal, fitting the new box, and reinstalling the door and drawer front.
We stock common Jerith-compatible slides, hinges, and mounting hardware on our service vehicles. If you have an unusual size or finish, we’ll source it and schedule the install once it arrives, usually within a week in Los Angeles.
