Cambria Driveway & Pavers: The Los Angeles Owner’s Guide
We stock and install Cambria-compatible driveway and paver systems across Los Angeles, with most replacement jobs running $5,900 – $16,520 depending on square footage, substrate condition, and whether you’re replacing the full driveway or a failed section. Most Los Angeles homeowners discover the problem the hard way: a paver sinks after February rain, a corner crumbles at the curb, or the surface that looked sharp at installation starts holding water in low spots. Here’s what actually goes wrong, what it costs to fix, and how we handle it without surprises.
Which Cambria Models This Applies To

Cambria manufactures quartz surfaces, and in the driveway and pavers space, their material is most often specified as a decorative paver cap, inlay, or border accent rather than a full structural paver. That’s the first compatibility gotcha most Los Angeles homeowners run into: if your contractor installed genuine Cambria slabs as the primary walking surface, you’re likely looking at a specialty application that needs a proper sub-base. If Cambria was used as the accent material alongside a Belgard or Unilock structural paver, the match is straightforward. We also keep reference parts for KraftMaid, Silestone, and Kohler on hand for interior-adjacent jobs, but this page is about the driveway side.
To identify your exact Cambria product, check the installation paperwork for the series name and color code (usually a three- or four-digit designation). If the paperwork is gone, measure the slab thickness: Cambria standard slabs run 2 cm and 3 cm. A 3 cm slab used outdoors in Los Angeles weather will outlast a 2 cm one by years, simply because it resists chipping better when a car tire catches an edge. For replacements, OEM Cambria gives you the exact color match, but a quality aftermarket quartzite or porcelain paver can sometimes outperform it for exterior use at a lower price. We’ll show you both options and let you decide.

Signs Your Cambria Driveway & Pavers Is Failing
- Sinking or settling pavers. This is almost never the Cambria material failing. It’s the base underneath. Los Angeles soil, especially in neighborhoods like Baldwin Hills or the Crenshaw flats, expands and contracts with moisture, and a thin gravel base will heave. The paver dips, water pools, and the edge starts to chip.
- Hairline cracks spreading from the corners. Quartz doesn’t crack on its own under normal driveway loads. Corner cracks usually mean the paver was laid too tight without an expansion gap, or the sub-base shifted and created a pressure point under the slab.
- Color fading or milky haze. Los Angeles UV is unrelenting. A Cambria paver that looks chalky after five or six years has likely lost its surface sealant, not its structural integrity. A quality reseal often brings it back. Some color lines fade faster than others; lighter tones stay cleaner-looking longer, while dark colors absorb heat and show wear sooner.
- Water pooling in one spot after rain. If the water doesn’t drain off within an hour after the rain stops, the grade is off or the base has compacted unevenly. Left alone, that standing water works its way under the pavers and accelerates the settling problem.
- Loose or rocking pavers underfoot. A paver that rocks means the bedding layer has eroded or washed out. It’s a trip hazard, and it’s the warning sign that bigger movement is coming.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

In Los Angeles, a full driveway replacement runs $5,900 – $16,520. A paver patio installation runs $4,130 – $12,980. A smaller repair, like re-setting a sunken section or replacing a handful of broken pavers, usually falls between $700 and $2,800 depending on access and how much base material needs to be excavated and rebuilt. The price moves based on three things: how many square feet we’re working, what’s under the pavers (if the base is shot, we’re rebuilding it), and whether you need Cambria OEM or we’re matching with a comparable aftermarket material.
Every job gets a written price before work starts, so the number you approve is the number on the invoice. Trevor Nash reviews every driveway scope personally. The 365-Day Done Right Promise applies here too: if the repair fails inside the guarantee period, we come back and fix it at no charge. Written guarantee, included with every job.
DIY or Call Us?
There’s an honest split here. A homeowner can safely inspect the surface, note where water pools, and check for visible cracks. But re-laying pavers on a failed base is not a weekend job. You need to excavate to the right depth, compact the sub-base properly, re-grade for drainage, and re-bed each paver at the correct level. Get the grading wrong in Los Angeles and the first winter rain pushes the whole section back out of alignment. The lifting and base work is heavy, the grading is unforgiving, and most DIY repairs we see start failing again within six months because the base never got addressed. If you’re not sure what you’re looking at, call (213) 277-6578 and we’ll talk it through on the phone, no charge for the conversation.
FAQs

With a properly compacted base, Cambria pavers in Los Angeles should last 15 to 25 years before the surface itself shows significant wear. The base underneath usually needs attention before the pavers do. If your pavers are failing at year five or six, it’s almost certainly a base or drainage problem, not the material.
Small hairline cracks can sometimes be stabilized with a color-matched epoxy fill, but once a quartz paver has a structural crack, replacement is the reliable fix. A filled crack in a high-traffic driveway area will usually reopen. Call (213) 277-6578 and we’ll give you an honest read on repair versus replace, with a written price either way.
A section repair on a driveway is usually a one to two day job. A full driveway replacement in Los Angeles typically runs three to five days, depending on base excavation and access. We’ll give you a defined arrival window before we start, and we leave the site cleaner than we found it.
We don’t keep Cambria slabs sitting in a warehouse, since every color and series is a special-order item. What we do is track down the exact match from your project paperwork, confirm availability with the supplier, and bring the material to your job site on the day we start. No guesswork, no color mismatch surprises.
