Caesarstone Kitchen Remodeling: The Los Angeles Owner’s Guide
Caesarstone kitchen remodeling in Los Angeles typically runs $16,520 – $53,100, depending on your countertop configuration, cabinet scope, and whether you’re addressing a failed seam, a cracked slab, or a full tear-out. We stock Caesarstone-compatible materials and install them with a written price before any work starts. Most owners discover a problem the same way: a hairline crack near the sink cutout, a seam that’s opened up, or a dull chalky patch that won’t polish back no matter what product they try.
If that sounds familiar, you’re not chasing a cosmetic annoyance. You’re looking at a material failure that has a specific cause, and it needs a specific fix. The good news: we’ve seen every version of this across kitchens from Silver Lake to Woodland Hills, and we can tell you what it’ll cost before we pick up a tool.
Which Caesarstone Models This Applies To

Caesarstone’s catalog spans several series, and compatibility matters more than most homeowners realize. The most common installations we see in Los Angeles kitchens are the Classic and Supernatural lines (think 5100 Vanilla Noir, 5131 Calacatta Nuvo, 5141 Frosty Carrina), but the same remodeling principles apply to the Metropolitan and Outdoor collections. The material itself is quartz: roughly 90% crushed quartz bound with resin and pigment. It’s non-porous, which is why it handles red wine and lemon juice better than granite, but the resin binder is exactly what makes heat and sudden thermal shock the enemy.
Here’s the compatibility gotcha most people don’t know: Caesarstone slabs come in standard jumbo format (120″ x 56.5″) and thicknesses of 2cm or 3cm. Your existing slab thickness dictates whether a partial replacement is even possible. If you have a 2cm slab with a laminated (doubled-up) edge, a repair that preserves the original look means matching that edge profile. A 3cm slab, which is more common in newer Los Angeles builds, gives us more latitude for seam repair and edge work. We’ll always check the thickness, the edge profile, and the underside markings before quoting, because two kitchens with the same Caesarstone color can still need very different work.
On OEM versus aftermarket: Caesarstone doesn’t sell “parts” the way an appliance brand does. The material comes from authorized fabricators as full slabs, and the components (adhesive, seam filler, color-matched epoxy) come from the same trade suppliers we use for Cambria and Silestone jobs. What matters is color matching. A seam filled with the wrong pigment looks like a scar across your counter. We keep a color-match kit on the truck for the most common Caesarstone tones we install in Los Angeles, and for anything unusual, we order the matched filler before we cut.

Signs Your Caesarstone Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- Hairline crack radiating from the sink or cooktop cutout. This is almost always thermal shock or an improperly supported overhang. Quartz expands and contracts with heat, and a clamped pot drained into a cold sink can crack a weak point at the cutout corner. The fix is a professional repair plus addressing the underlying support gap.
- Seam that’s visibly separated or catches your fingernail. Seams open up when the cabinets beneath shift, usually from settling or from a dishwasher that’s been levering against the counter base. The counter didn’t fail; the structure under it moved. We re-level, re-shim, and re-fill the seam so it disappears.
- Chalky, dull patch that ignores polish. This is resin damage from a hot pan set directly on the surface, or from a harsh chemical like oven cleaner or paint stripper. Quartz does not re-polish like granite. Depending on the depth, the section gets replaced or the entire run gets refinished by cutting and re-facing the top layer.
- Stain that won’t lift despite Caesarstone being “non-porous.” Usually ink, turmeric, or a strong dye that’s bonded to the resin itself. A poultice sometimes works; more often, the stained section is cut out and a Dutchman patch (a fitted replacement piece) is bonded in with color-matched adhesive.
- Chipped edge, especially on a peninsula corner or near a walkway. Quartz is hard but not indestructible. A dropped cast-iron skillet can chip a 2cm edge cleanly. We can sometimes grind and reshape the edge; other times the slab section is replaced to make the repair invisible.
Replacement Cost & What’s Included

A full Caesarstone kitchen remodel in Los Angeles runs $16,520 – $53,100, with the spread driven by cabinet scope, countertop square footage, island size, and whether you’re replacing the backsplash at the same time. If the job is just the countertop, expect $2,360 – $7,670 for a typical Los Angeles kitchen. A partial repair (one seam or one cracked section) lands lower than the full countertop range, but we quote that only after seeing the damage, because two identical-looking cracks can be very different jobs underneath.
Every quote includes the material, fabrication, templating, tear-out of the old surface, installation, seam work, and cleanup. We use color-matched adhesive and filler specific to your Caesarstone tone, and we’ll give you the written number before any work starts. The number on day one is the number on the invoice. No change orders, no “we found something behind the wall” surprise. If the repair fails inside 365 days, we come back and fix it at no charge under the Done Right Promise. That’s in writing, on every project.

You can safely do two things: document the damage with photos and measurements, and check the cabinets under the affected area for obvious gaps or shifted shims. That’s useful information for us. What you should not do is attempt a seam repair, an epoxy fill, or any cutting. Quartz fabrication dust is silica, not something you want in your lungs without proper equipment, and a bad seam repair makes a correct one twice as expensive. The same warning applies to any attempt to “polish out” a burn mark; you’ll grind through the top layer and turn a $400 fix into a slab replacement.
If the damage is a crack you can see daylight through, stop using that section of counter. It can fail further. Call (213) 277-6578 and we’ll talk you through what you’re looking at, then get someone out to measure and give you a real number.
FAQs

With proper support and normal use, Caesarstone quartz can last 25 years or more, but we tell Los Angeles homeowners to expect meaningful wear around the 15 – 20 year mark, especially in south-facing kitchens with heavy sun exposure that accelerates resin breakdown. A properly installed and maintained slab is durable; the weak points are seams, cutouts, and unsupported overhangs.
Call (213) 277-6578 if your counters are showing age sooner than that. A second installation done right adds decades back.
Yes, in most cases a crack or chip can be professionally repaired with color-matched epoxy, and a seam can be re-filled, as long as the underlying structure is corrected first. The repair won’t hold if the cabinet support is the problem. We’ll inspect before we quote, so you know whether you’re looking at a repair or a section replacement.

A countertop-only replacement typically takes 3 – 7 days in Los Angeles: templating on day one, fabrication at the stone shop, then installation in one day, including tear-out and seam work. A full kitchen remodel with cabinetry runs 3 – 6 weeks depending on scope. You’ll get a defined arrival window before every visit.

We source Caesarstone slabs through Los Angeles fabricators and distributors we’ve worked with for years, and we keep color-match kits and common edge profiles on the truck for the most requested tones in the area. If you have a less common tone, we order it before cutting so the seam and pigment match exactly.
