The Penhallow Remodeling Los Angeles Guarantee
When we hand you the keys back after a remodel, we want exactly one thing: for you to never think about us again unless you’re ready for the next project. That sounds backwards, but it’s how a guarantee should work. Every kitchen, bathroom, and whole-home remodel we complete in Los Angeles comes with the 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing. If the work fails inside that guarantee period, we come back and fix it at no charge. No service call fee. No re-inspection fee. No debate about whose fault it was. That promise is on every single project we sign, and Trevor Nash stands behind it personally.
What’s Covered
- Workmanship for 365 days. If a cabinet door binds, a tile cracks, or a fixture leaks because of how it was installed, the Done Right Promise covers the repair in full for a year after completion.
- A written price before any work starts. Not an estimate range, not a verbal ballpark. A written number you can hold us to, and the number on day one is the number on the invoice.
- Free return visit if a repair fails. If we fix something under warranty and that fix doesn’t hold, the second trip costs you nothing. No service call, no re-inspection fee, no fine print.
- On-time arrival within a defined window. We give you a window, we show up in it. If something changes, a live person calls you from our office, not a text bot.
- A clean job site at the end of every day. The Kingswell Way has required this since 2004. Dust barriers go up. Debris gets hauled. Your home stays livable while we work in it.
- Background-checked, uniformed technicians. You’ll know exactly who is walking into your home because the same professional standard applies on every job, every time.
- Materials from recognized trade brands. KraftMaid and Wellborn cabinetry. Cambria, Silestone, and Caesarstone countertops. Kohler and Moen fixtures. Products with their own manufacturer warranties layered on top of ours.

Our Satisfaction Promise
Here’s how the make-it-right process actually works if something isn’t done the way it should be. You call (213) 277-6578. A real person answers, because that’s how we’ve operated since day one. You tell us what’s wrong. We schedule the return visit during a window that works for you. We show up, we fix it, and we leave. The 365-Day Done Right Promise means you’re not negotiating with a subcontractor or chasing a project manager who’s moved on to another job. You’re talking to Penhallow Remodeling Los Angeles, and the guarantee is in writing because Trevor doesn’t believe a handshake covers what a signature can. If the same repair fails twice, the second return visit is free, period. That’s not a policy we advertise. It’s just the standard we hold ourselves to.
Licensed & Insured Backing
A guarantee is only as strong as the company standing behind it. Penhallow Remodeling Los Angeles is a licensed and insured general contractor, which means the paperwork protects you in ways a warranty alone can’t. Licensing means we’re accountable to California’s contractor standards. Insurance means if something unexpected happens on your property, you’re not left holding the cost. Between the written guarantee, the licensed and insured backing, and the fact that every technician is background-checked and uniformed, you get layers of protection that start before we ever swing a hammer and extend a full year after we finish. That’s what standing behind the work actually looks like in Los Angeles.
Why We Put It in Writing
Because verbal promises fade. Because “trust me” is not a business model. Because Los Angeles homeowners have been burned by contractors who vanish the moment the final check clears, and we’d rather compete against that reality than hide from it. The Kingswell Way, established in 2004 and carried into every Penhallow location, works on three rules: say the price before the work, show up in the window we gave, leave the place cleaner than we found it. The written guarantee is the enforcement mechanism. If we fail on any of those three, you have a document with our name on it that says we’ll make it right. No arbitration clause. No expiration date before the year is up. Just a promise with consequences attached to our business.

AfterWhat the Guarantee Doesn’t Cover
We’re honest about this because a guarantee with hidden exclusions is worse than no guarantee at all. The Done Right Promise covers our workmanship and installation. It doesn’t cover normal wear and tear, damage from misuse, or issues caused by someone else modifying our work after we leave. If you hang a pot rack on a wall we tiled and the tile cracks because the anchor gave way, that’s not an installation defect. But if a crack appears in the tile because the substrate shifted, call us and we’ll inspect it. We’d rather send a tech out to look at something that turns out to be nothing than have you wonder for six months whether it’s getting worse. The inspection is how we learn what’s actually happening in Los Angeles homes, and it’s how you get peace of mind without paying for it.
Real Numbers From Real Los Angeles Jobs
You should know what a remodel costs before you ever think about guarantees, because the two are connected. A cheap contractor’s guarantee is worth exactly what you paid for it. Here’s what Los Angeles homeowners typically see:
- Bathroom remodels: $14,000 – $38,000 depending on whether you’re refreshing fixtures or moving plumbing and replacing everything down to the studs.
- Kitchen remodels: $18,000 – $55,000 depending on layout changes, cabinet line, and countertop material. A galley kitchen refresh in West Adams costs less than a full-gut kitchen with an island in Hancock Park.
- Whole-home remodels: $60,000 – $250,000+. The range is wide because a 1,200-square-foot bungalow in Highland Park and a 3,000-square-foot mid-century in Los Feliz are different projects entirely.
The written price we give you before work starts is based on a real walkthrough, not a square-footage formula. That’s why the guarantee means something. We know exactly what we’re committing to because we priced it ourselves.
Who You’re Working With
Trevor Nash runs Penhallow Remodeling Los Angeles. He’s the one who walks your home during the initial estimate, the one who reviews the written price line by line, and the one whose name is on the guarantee. When you call with a warranty question a year after the project ends, you’re not calling a call center. You’re calling a business that still has your file and still remembers the job. Penhallow is part of the Kingswell family of companies, which means every location operates independently but answers to the same standard that’s been in place since 2004. The Kingswell Way isn’t a slogan. It’s the operating system: written price first, defined arrival window, clean job site, written guarantee on every project. Our Los Angeles location follows it because Trevor signed onto it when he opened the doors.
Common Questions About Our Guarantee
Does the 365-Day Done Right Promise cover materials?
It covers our installation of those materials. The materials themselves carry their own manufacturer warranties. For example, Cambria quartz carries a lifetime warranty from Cambria. Moen fixtures carry limited lifetime warranties. We’re happy to walk you through which products have which coverage before you commit, so you know exactly what layers of protection you’re getting.
What if I notice a problem after the year is up?
Call us anyway. If it’s clearly an installation issue that took time to surface, we’ll take the call seriously. The 365-day window is the written commitment, but we’re not looking for reasons to say no. Trevor would rather send someone out to look than have you tell your neighbors we ignored a call.
Will the price change once work starts?
No. The written price is the price. The only exception is if you change the scope of the project after we’ve started, and even then you’ll get a written change order with a specific number before any additional work begins. No “we had to do extra work” surprises at the end.
Do you pull permits for remodels in Los Angeles?
Yes. Where the City of Los Angeles requires permits, we pull them and close them out with passing inspections. That’s part of licensed contractor work, and it’s part of why the guarantee has teeth. An unpermitted remodel isn’t covered by anyone’s warranty, including ours.
