Tremron Driveway & Pavers: The Los Angeles Owner’s Guide
If you’ve got a Tremron paver driveway, walkway, or patio with a cracked unit, a sunken section, or failing joint sand, we stock Tremron-compatible pavers and can match most current and recent product lines. Typical Tremron paver repair or replacement work in Los Angeles runs $4,130 – $12,980 installed depending on square footage, paver line, and what’s underneath. Most owners discover the problem the same way: a corner chips after a delivery truck rolls over it, a low spot starts holding water after the winter rains, or the sand between joints washes out faster than it used to and weeds start coming through.
We’re an independent Los Angeles remodeling and hardscape contractor, not a Tremron dealer or affiliate. That matters because we can be straight with you about which repairs make sense, which Tremron lines are still available locally, and when a matching aftermarket paver from Belgard or Unilock will actually save you money without looking off.
Which Tremron Models This Applies To

Tremron makes concrete pavers in a range of sizes across several product families, and the compatibility question is usually about dimensions and finish rather than a model number stamped on the paver. The most common Tremron lines we see in Los Angeles driveways and patios are the Holland Stone (4″ x 8″ nominal, often in Charcoal and Sierra blends), Mega Olde Towne (larger format, tumbled edges for an aged look), Village Square (6″ x 6″ and 6″ x 9″ combos), and Rio (a slab-style paver with a cleaner, more contemporary face).
The first thing to check is the paver’s actual measurement, not the name. Take a tape measure to a clean paver: a Holland Stone is not exactly 4″ x 8″ but closer to 3 7/8″ x 7 7/8″ because of the spacer nibs molded into the sides. Those nibs create the joint gap for sand, and they’re also the first thing people damage when they butt pavers too tight during a repair. If you can’t identify the line, bring us a photo and the measurements. We match color by batch and tone, and in Los Angeles, UV exposure will have faded older pavers noticeably, so a new paver from the same line will often look brighter for the first year or two until it weathers in. We’ll tell you that before we order anything.
OEM Tremron pavers are sold through local supply yards in the Los Angeles Basin, and lead times are usually short for the core lines. Aftermarket equivalents from Belgard or Unilock can match dimensions for some Tremron lines, but the color blends won’t be exact. For a driveway repair where a mismatch will bother you every time you pull in, we usually recommend staying with Tremron if the line is still manufactured. For a full replacement or a large addition where everything gets installed together, aftermarket lines can be a smarter spend.

Signs Your Tremron Driveway & Pavers Is Failing
- Cracked or chipped pavers along the driveway edge. The edge restraint was either never installed or has shifted, so the outside row takes tire load without anything holding it. In Los Angeles, tree roots from mature ficus and sycamore trees along parkways are the usual culprit pushing edge pavers outward.
- Low spots that puddle after rain. The base under the pavers has settled unevenly, usually because the original install skimped on compacted aggregate base. Our clay-heavy Los Angeles soil shrinks and swells with moisture, and a thin base will always telegraph that movement upward.
- Joint sand washing out faster than it used to. This points to poor drainage or a slope issue. Once the sand goes, pavers start shifting under load, and the shifted pavers then crack. It compounds quickly.
- Efflorescence, that chalky white haze on the surface. Not a failure by itself, but it tells you water is moving through the paver and evaporating at the surface. Persistent efflorescence in Los Angeles usually means the paver’s sealer has worn off and the concrete is breathing more than it should.
- A single paver sitting proud of the others. Usually a broken edge from a point load, like a jack stand or a dropped tool, but it can also be a root lifting from below. If it wobbles when you step on it, the base under that one paver is already compromised.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

Tremron paver repair in Los Angeles typically runs $1,500 – $4,500 for isolated work like replacing a cracked section, re-sanding joints, and re-compacting a settled area. A full driveway replacement with Tremron or equivalent pavers runs $8,260 – $21,240 depending on driveway size, demo of the old surface, base depth, and the paver line you choose. For reference, a standard two-car driveway is roughly 400 – 600 square feet, and the paver material alone for a mid-range Tremron line lands around $6 – $9 per square foot wholesale.
What drives the number up or down is mostly what we find underneath. If the original base is sound, we can often pull and relay the top layer, add fresh joint sand, and compact it for far less than a full rebuild. If the base is gone, we’re digging out and building it right, which means more labor and more material, but also a surface that will hold for decades rather than two more winters.
Every job gets a written price before we start. That number covers the pavers, the base work if needed, haul-away, and our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if something we installed fails inside a year, we come back and fix it at no charge. That’s in writing, every time.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely do the inspection part yourself: check for cracked units, run a hose to see where water sits, and run your finger along the joints to see how much sand is left. None of that requires tools or risk. What you shouldn’t do is start pulling and re-laying pavers on a driveway without the right compaction equipment and a plan for the base. A paver patio is forgiving; a paver driveway carries thousands of pounds of rolling load, and a repair that looks flat on day one will settle into a dip within six months if the base wasn’t re-compacted properly.
If the damage is one or two cracked pavers and you can find the exact match, a careful homeowner can swap them with a pry bar, some patience, and a rubber mallet. If it’s more than that, if the base is soft, or if you’re seeing the same crack come back, call us at (213) 277-6578. We’ll give you a number first, and we’ll be honest about whether the repair is worth doing.
FAQs

Tremron concrete pavers in Los Angeles typically last 25 – 40 years before failing structurally, but the joint sand and sealer need attention every 3 – 7 years depending on sun exposure and drainage. Our UV and heat cycles fade color faster than coastal installs, so expect re-sealing sooner in the Valley than at the beach. Call (213) 277-6578 if you want us to look at your specific paver’s condition and give you a straight answer.
A cracked paver cannot be structurally repaired; it gets replaced with a matched unit. What can be repaired without pulling pavers is the surrounding system: re-sanding joints, re-sealing the surface, and fixing the drainage or base issue that caused the crack in the first place. If you replace a cracked paver without fixing why it cracked, you’ll be doing it again. Call (213) 277-6578 for an exact quote; estimates are free.
A single-paver swap takes about an hour including re-sanding around the repair. A partial driveway repair of 50 – 100 square feet usually takes one working day. A full driveway replacement in Los Angeles typically takes 3 – 5 working days including demo, base prep, paver installation, and final compaction. Weather rarely delays the work here, but unpermitted tree roots or a failed base can add a day when we find them.
We stock common Tremron Holland Stone sizes in the most popular Los Angeles colors on our trucks for small repairs, and we can source any current Tremron line from local supply yards in the Basin within a few days. If you have an older or discontinued line, we’ll tell you what it is and show you the closest matching options before you commit to anything. We also keep parts and replacement materials for other trade brands we install, including KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone, so most repair work is one visit.
